Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is a bustling hub for Muay Thai enthusiasts and houses two of the country's busiest airports and the countries most prestifous Muay Thai stadiums., making it a popular destination for those seeking to immerse themselves in the sport. Bangkok has some of the best Muay Thai gyms and stadiums in the world. Outside of Bangkok the land is lush and tropical and Muay Thai training facilities can be found in all of the provinces surrounding the bustling capital city.



Bangkok boasts some of the most exceptional Muay Thai training facilities worldwide, catering to various skill levels. However, visitors must note that the city's pollution levels can make workouts more challenging, especially with higher temperatures than Northern Thailand.

Sitsongpeenong Muay Thai Gym - Bangkok, Prawet. (Close to Suvarnabhumi Airport)

Sitsongpeenong Muay Thai gym is a highly regarded training center in Bangkok, Thailand that specializes in Muay Thai. Prices for group classes start at 800 baht per session, with discounts available for bulk purchases. Sitsongpeenong is stacked with former champion trainers and current champion fighters. They have strong links with Fairtex Gym and Petchyindee Gym.

Best for: Intermediate and Advanced students, good for fighters too.

Price: with accomodation1600 baht a day. From 20,000 - 33,000 baht. (Pre Covid times food was included in this price but I am not sure if that is still the case)

Without accommodation: 1 x a day 500 Baht 2 x a day 900 baht. 10 sessions for 4500 baht.


Sitsongpeenong Gym


Meenayotin Gym - Bangkok, Chatuchak District (Close to Kasetsart University)

Meenayotin Gym


FA Group Gym - Bangkok, Chatuchak District (Close to Wachirabenchathat Park aka Rot Fai Park)

FA Group Muay Thai gym is an acclaimed training center situated in Bangkok's Chatuchak District, just a stone's throw away from Wachirabenchathat Park, also known as Rot Fai Park. FA Group Gym have a reputation for being very strong in the clinch, Clinch fighting legend Petchboonchu hailed from this gym and the emphasis in training is very much on the clinch. 6 a.m. Morning runs around the near by park are a pleasant way to start the days training.

Best For: This is the place to go to improve your clinch, also a solid gym if you are a pro fighter who likes to use clinch.

Kanok Muay Thai Gym - Ayutthaya, Central Thailand ( 85 km north of Bangkok)

Kanok Muay Thai Gym is a small training facility located in Central Thailand. The gym was founded by a Ajarn Kanok who is passionate about teaching the ancient art of Muay Thai to enthusiasts and professionals alike. Ajarn Kanok is well known for training Muay Thai legend Saengtien Noi and Australia Superstar John Wayne Parr.

I have trained extensively with Ajarn Kanok and he has cornered me in fights, he will occasionally guest instruct at Burklerk Gym in Lampang when it gets busy. He is a fantastic instructor and has his own unique approach to teaching technique. He can coach hig level fighters but is also great with beginners.

Best For: All levels for an away from it all location

Established by Chanai Ponsupha, a former Thai military soldier, Sasiprapa has been operating for more than fifty years.
