Muay Thai History

Muay Thai originated in Thailand as a form of close-combat fighting, developed and refined over centuries. During the 20th century, Muay Thai became an international phenomenon, gaining popularity worldwide. Most MMA fighters consider Muay Thai as essential component of their sport.

Rules & Regulations

Often misunderstood outside of Thailand, Muay Thai rules and scoring are quite unique amongst fighting sports. The emphasis is on the effect a technique has on an opponent rather than the accuracy and frequency of strikes.
